play it again! most of the time, i'm known as rachel. i am, many things. the geekgrl, the dreamer, the tripper, me. i am 16, and no, i'm not very sweet. i wish i could |
say that it's all very exciting and new for me, but i would be lying. my handwriting is uniquely (as i like to believe) illegible. i would love to compile all my |
quirky dreams into a book, & entitle it: loveletters in my stomach. but i am much too lazy. i'm not very creative either. im not usually this negative. i like many |
things, too. some of which include; my parent's 1960-70s black & white photographs, glowinthedark stars, the sense of touch, and nice voices. okay, im dry now. |

Sunday, May 12, 2002 01:48 p.m. After all these years, (8, maybe) I am still charmed by the magic of Labyrinth. Not so much of David Bowie anymore (fortunately!) but by the incredible amount of creativity in it! Like, the Bog of Stench, for example. Haha! I have been on this not-so crazy fantasy phase. Just completed The Neverending Story by Michael Ende. I sososo love this book!! I just couldn't bear to put it down, and I was reading it on the bus, on my bed, during lessons & in the toilet. (this is not too much info, but merely to prove my point) So yeaah. Been a bit of a hermit recently, choosing to snug into voluntary exile. No, really. I'm just a bit of a stay-at-home, under my blanket, sacred solitude, divine retreat kind of girl. But that's just crazy me, of course. In fact, last night I had this inane dream that I was a hallucinating, schizophrenic, ala John Nash. Warped, I tell you. And because today is Mother's Day, we kids get to join in the festivity (heh) at dinner tonight. Mezzanine here I come.
Tuesday, May 7, 2002 03:22 p.m. I'm having TV lunch now- mashed potatoes and sausages in a plastic box. Dad got it from Germany and I bet it's really unhealthy. I mean, these things are like packaged months ago! Oh well, I like the sausages. It's been quite some time, huh. Well. Some interesting things that happened, that might or might not interest you: Met a stranger that (everyone agreed) looked like me. We shared similar fashion taste too. How freaky is that? It was too much of a coincidence too, that Channel U was on the search for people who looked alike at the place I was at. But alas, I only realized this when I got back home. :) And then there was Pris' sweet 16. We went shopping (but of course) and had dinner at Kenny Rogers. That was nice, and I found myself feeling like a bloated balloon that night. Evelyn.. I tried to take a photo of it with my web-cam but it turned out blur.. :( I'll try again later, yah.
Thursday, May 2, 2002 10:21 p.m. MAY IS THE MONTH OF ARTS!! :) Lydia just called and we got each other really, really thrilled at the thought of attending musicals, theatre & ballet performances.. the works. AM SO EXCITED! Some of them are pretty expensive though, at least for a poor, student like me. So yes, if do you feel generous, please direct your donatations to the Support Rachel Fund. You know you want to. :) Something really queer happened last night. I know this sounds straight out of a cheesy Saturday late night "horror" flick, but, I swear someone from the opposite block was staring at me through the window last night. I'm actually getting the creeps right now. Anyway. Thinking it was a mere figment of my imagination, I stared harder at the dark figure, trying to make out what it was. A shirt hanging out to dry or a lamp behind the curtains, or something. But as soon as I started to stare at it, it moved away. How freaky is that? The figure was standing in the dark, looking at me.. and for how long, I wouldn't know. Blah. This is so freaky!!
Wednesday, May 1, 2002 11:45 p.m. Went to Mount Vernon early this morning, as we always do on the 1st of May each year. Grandmother's death anniversary. No one brought flowers this time. Also. I watched Boys Don't Cry this afternoon. I teared. Hmm. Oh well. School tomorrow. ZZZ.
Monday, April 29, 2002 01:05 p.m. It's already mid-day and I'm still in my PJs! What a life. :) Yeah, I skipped school today. I knew I wouldn't be able to take it, with only 1 hour of sleep! 1 hour! :) So, yes! I'm back from Hong Kong. We did quite a lot in that short 3 days. Sightseeing, dining and of course shopping! I'm pretty exhausted, naturally. We were practically on our feet the entire day! I mean, even now, my feet are aching! Bought a lot of black & purple thingamajigs. From tops, to shoes, to accessories, to a new handphone cover! I <3! The fashion there is very..... hm, inspiring. They've got, like the funkiest sneakers on earth! Its like a law to have funky sneakers in HK. And of course, I was forced to buy a pair. You don't know how it is when everyone around you has weird looking shoes. Haha. I fear I might get stoned in Singapore if I wear them though. Too bright for their eyes. Oh yah, and I'm positively sure I saw this guy that really, I mean, REALLY looked like Edison Chen. :) Lots of good-looking people in HK. What else. Shopkeepers kept talking to me in Cantonese! Even when I could understand what they were saying (this is like, 48.9% of the time), I wasn't able to communicate with them. I'm so embarrased of my Cantonese. Wish I was better at it. It's so cute to call one's husband "lou gong" (to be said in a super whiny tone)! Yep, and the food is great too. I love Cantonese dessert. :) Mm-yummm. I'll upload the pictures soon- when tripod.com finally decides to work. My computer is screwed. It keeps hanging. YAWWWN.
